The Her Power Project is a nationwide, high-profile initiative by the ICT Division of the Government of Bangladesh, aimed at accelerating women's empowerment through technology, digital skills training, and entrepreneurship. Serving as a Frontend Integration Specialist on this enterprise-scale civic platform, I was responsible for connecting the modern client application with complex governmental data systems, focusing specifically on three critical, high-traffic areas: the Course Module, the Event Module, and the Blog Module.

  • Role: Frontend Developer (Integration Specialist)
  • Focus Area: Cross-Stack API Integration, Cross-Team Collaboration (Frontend to PHP Backend)
  • Core Modules: Course Management, Nationwide Events, and Digital Content Hub
Her Power

About the project

Given the nationwide scale of the project, the platform required a highly robust, secure, and performant frontend architecture capable of digesting diverse and large-scale data structures.

The technical execution centered around cross-stack engineering, where I worked hand-in-hand with the government's PHP backend team. My primary responsibility was to transform raw RESTful endpoints from a traditional PHP/Laravel environment into reactive, state-driven, and highly accessible user experiences that function seamlessly even in lower-connectivity regions across Bangladesh.

My contributions & impact

1. Advanced Course Module Integration

  • Integrated the complex frontend logic for the national training program's Course Module, pulling real-time data for curriculum syllabi, trainer allocations, eligibility criteria, and regional schedules.
  • Implemented client-side data filtering systems allowing thousands of applicants across different districts (Zilas) and sub-districts (Upazilas) to quickly find and apply for localized courses.

2. Event and Notice Management Synchronization

  • Engineered the dynamic Event Module UI to handle real-time schedules, venue details, and attendance criteria for nationwide seminars and orientation programs.
  • Built robust handling for structural variations in backend payloads, ensuring that upcoming, ongoing, and completed events sorted, updated, and cached perfectly without UI flashes or layout shifts.

3. Content and Information Architecture (Blog Module)

  • Connected the dynamic Blog and Resource Module, mapping rich-text content, media streams, and government announcements cleanly into accessible layouts.
  • Optimized image delivery, pagination logic, and asynchronous data fetching to reduce payload overhead for citizens browsing on mobile networks.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Bridging

  • Collaborated daily with the senior PHP backend team to define data paradigms, standardize response structures, and optimize JSON payloads for client-side performance.
  • Diagnosed and resolved cross-origin (CORS) issues, authenticated session boundaries, and data mapping mismatches to guarantee smooth, seamless production deployments.
