FNF (Friends & Family) is a centralized medicine ordering and management platform developed for Drug International Limited and its sister concerns. The platform enables employees to purchase medicines for themselves, friends, and family members while ensuring compliance with company policies, prescription requirements, purchasing limits, and approval workflows. The system streamlines medicine ordering, employee management, prescription handling, and order processing through a secure and controlled digital platform.
About the project
The Friends & Family (FNF) platform was developed to simplify and modernize the medicine purchasing process for employees of Drug International Limited and its affiliated organizations. The system provides a comprehensive solution for medicine catalog management, employee administration, prescription management, order processing, payment handling, and purchase policy enforcement.
The platform supports multiple user roles, including Super Admin, Concern Admin, and Employee, each with dedicated responsibilities and permissions. Employees can browse medicines, upload prescriptions, purchase medicines for themselves or their family members, select payment methods, and track order statuses. Administrators can manage employees, medicines, purchase limits, permissions, and approval workflows across multiple sister concerns.
By digitizing the entire purchasing and approval process, the platform improves operational efficiency, enhances policy compliance, and provides better visibility into medicine allocation and employee purchases.

My Contributions & Impact
As the Backend Developer for the FNF platform, I was responsible for designing and developing the core backend architecture that powers the entire system. My responsibilities included database design, API development, business logic implementation, authentication, authorization, and integration support for frontend developers.
Key Contributions:
• Designed and optimized the complete database architecture to support employees, medicines, prescriptions, orders, permissions, purchase limits, and organizational structures.
• Developed secure and scalable RESTful APIs for all platform modules, enabling seamless communication between frontend applications and backend services.
• Implemented role-based and user-based permission systems to ensure secure access control across multiple user roles.
• Built complex business logic for order processing, prescription validation, approval workflows, purchase restrictions, and salary deduction controls.
• Developed APIs for employee management, medicine management, order management, prescription handling, location management, and policy configuration.
• Collaborated closely with frontend developers by providing well-structured API documentation, endpoint support, and integration assistance.
• Optimized backend performance and database queries to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability as the platform grew.
